Man (18) charged with abduction of 14-year-old Svetlana Murphy

An 18-year-old man is to appear in court tomorrow charged with the abduction of 14-year-old Svetlana Murphy. Svetlana, who left her home on the Coast Road in Blackrock, Co Louth, at around 4pm on Monday was found safe and well in Belfast last night. She was found along with 18-year-old Nojus Maculevicius. The pair had travelled across the border to Newry and then on to Belfast. Mr Maculevicius is to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with child abduction and other offences. Close Contact Services Open As Lockdown Restrictions Ease Close-contact services such as hairdressers will be able to open their doors from today, 23 April, as further lockdown restrictions are eased. Driving lessons and tests can resume and outdoor visitor attractions can also open. All non-essential retail has been given the go-ahead to open from next Friday, 30 April, and outdoor hospitality businesses. Curfews for takeaways and off-licences will also be lifted. More restrictions will also be lifted on 24 May, however these are subject to review. First Minister Arlene Foster said: Thanks to the efforts of people across Northern Ireland, we are now ready to mark another steady but important step forward on our road to recovery.
